Visiting the great state of Colorado for a long weekend, we saw the sights, hiked, biked, ate a whole lot of food, met wonderful people and their pups, and basked in natures glory. Feeling lucky to have experienced such beauty I would like to take a moment and acknowledge the horrible act that occurred in Aurora, CO.
It was a surreal moment when we woke, sipped out coffee, turned on the local news channel and found out the horrific news. For the rest of the day we had to jump on a train and do some major traveling to get to our destination of Glenwood Springs. It was during our travels that we realised how tight nit the community is; our taxi driver was at the theater next door while everything happened, a man on the train knew one of the victims through a friend of a friend, and everywhere you looked people where glued to the news channels waiting to hear of updates.
Although my travels where beautiful and very relaxing, I would like to take a moment and pray for the family members and friends of the victims.
Great post Renee, well said, so tragic :(
