My New Read

I have wanted to be a pickler for some time now, so when I came across this book on the sale shelf at Anthropologie, I grabbed it as if the book was gold. Flipping through the pages, I instantly fell in love with the recipes and bold colorful pictures. 

I am struggling with which vegetable to pickle first. So many recipes, so little time:) 

Be warned that there will be plenty of blog posts on my pickling experience!

Wrap Bracelet DIY

I really loved the free people wrap bracelets (who wouldn't) but wanted something a bit more dressy because even though I see my self as this free spirit who walks barefoot in the grass and eats Tofu every chance I get, I am realistically closer to a meatball eating, tee shirt wearing gal who can be a bit high maintenance at times:) Woooo, that is a lot in one sentence.

Finished and I just love it! I have a special occasion in the city coming up and I am excited to break out this new bracelet:) 

Octobers Instagram Pics

This very warm, then very cold, then rainy, then windy month of October was a flower filled roller coaster (as you can see, I love me some flowers). Now I am adjusting to the weather and getting prepared for the crazy month of November.

It happened people! I got engaged!!!!!

I have been contemplating if sharing this news was right for the blog mostly because I am always a little uncomfortable exposing my private life for all to see. I have always been a bit anxiety ridden over possibilities of judgement by others, so publishing this post was a giant leap from my comfort level. A friend advised me to "just get over it" and share with the world my exciting news. 

Soooo, It was over my magical weekend in Door County, WI  and it happened at the right time in the right place. After 12 years together, I am finally marrying my bestest friend! Yay:)
